Ms. Maria
Lopez-Tellado holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering
from the University of Puerto Rico and a Masters in Engineering
Administration from George Washington University, Washington,
DC. Currently, she is a member of the Payload Carriers Program
Office at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida.
Currently,
she is responsible for the development and implementation
of program activities at KSC, as well as the Chair of the
Hispanic Working Group at KSC.
Ms. Lopez-Tellado has 22 years
of technical and program management experience in the research,
development, and production of interdisciplinary Aerospace
and Navy systems. One of her professional highlights was the
time she spent at NASA Headquarters, when she had the opportunity
to participate in a study to plan a piloted mission to Mars.
This experience gave her a profound understanding and appreciation
of the technology limitations of our times.
