NASA Glenn Facts:
NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC)
is located at Lewis
Field, a 350-acre site, adjacent to Cleveland Hopkins
International Airport in Ohio. GRC is responsible for developing
and transferring critical technologies that address national
priorities in aeropropulsion and space applications. Their
work is focused on research for new aeropropulsion technologies,
aerospace power, microgravity science, electric propulsion,
and communications technologies for aeronautics, space, and
aerospace applications.

E. PEREZ-DAVIS, Ph.D.

Chief, Electrochemistry Branch
Marla received her B.S. in Chemical
Engineering and her and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from
the University of Puerto Rico and the University of Toledo,
Ohio respectively. She received her Ph.D in Chemical Engineering
from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. She
currently serves as Chief of the Electrochemistry Branch.
Marla is the recipient of numerous
awards, including the 2001 Women of Color Technology Award
for Career Achievement, and the 2001 Hispanic Engineer National
Achievement Award in Diversity. She was selected to participate
in the NASA Administrator's Fellowship Program, and served
her tenure at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus,
where she developed and implemented initiatives for teacher
development and other outreach activities in Puerto Rico.
