Candidate's Commitments
- Commitment to participate in at least one live WebChats
per school year
- The minimum is a one hour chat per school calendar year between
September and June.
- No WebChats when schools out for the summer
- Chats are scheduled weekly each Tuesday for one hour blocks
of time between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p. m. PT.
- WebChats are accessed directly using any Internet WWW browser
Optional - Voluntary
Request for volunteers for any of the following events is sent out via email
distribution list to current participants as needed.
- Special session webchats
- Topics may include: Net Day, Take Your Daughters to work Day, Careers
Month, Women in History month, Private chats set-up with a particular
class, Demonstrations at educational conferences, etc.
- Media events and interviews related to the project and/or specific
events
- Other Events: email exchange, live video conferencing, newly
emerging technologies as they are introduced to the project, etc.
Please note that participation in WON is not limited,
hence, representatives may decide to have their profile online indefinitely
or withdraw at anytime during the project's existence.
