Women Of NASA - Profile Guidelines*
Profiles should follow the format used in the current
mentor profiles - See examples of Profiles.
The following questions can be addressed as guidelines in creating your
profile:
- What is your job title? What is it that you actually do and how is
it related to math and science (if applicable)?
- What is an average day like in your field?
- What is the most exciting and/or most enjoyable thing about your job
at NASA?
- Were you always good in math and science? If not, how did you end
up at NASA?
- Did you ever feel pressured NOT to go into a math-and-science-based
field because it was not "girlish" enough?
- What are some of the obstacles you have had to overcome to get where
you are right now?
- What are some things that you do outside of your work? (Hobbies, volunteer
work, family, whatever!!!)
- What are some things you would have liked to know when you were ages
11-14 that would have made things easier for you?
* Note:
Information that does not meet security dissemination guidelines should
not be stated in your profile. This includes family information (i.e., children's
names, etc.) For more information, read NASA
