Kelly Murphy
Kelly Murphy began working at NASA Langey as a co-op in 1989 and started
her full-time career in 1991. Murphy is an experimental aerodynamicist in
the Research and Technology Directorate.
In college, Murphy studied aerospace engineering and came to LaRC shortly after graduation. Now, 16 years later, Murphy performs aerodynamic testing (assessment, optimization, and benchmarking) of future space transportation concepts in wind tunnels at LaRC. Murphy is currently working CEV-Orion and Mars Science Laboratory. Murphy enjoys LaRC because it gives her "the opportunity to work on exciting new programs with incredibly talented people from all over the country."
