Every federal department and agency has a Federal Women's Program Manager (FWPM). The FWPM acts as an agency's contact point, source of information and as an advisor to the head of the agency on matters involving the employment and career advancement of women.
Duties:
Advise the EOP Officer and Center management officials on matters affecting employment and advancement of women.
Develop statistical information necessary to assess employment trends and to evaluate progress of women.
Coordinate employee development opportunities and recruitment actions directed toward women.
Maintain contacts with women's organizations, professional societies, and other sources of candidates for technical, professional, and
management level positions.
Develop programs designed to increase opportunities for female employees to enhance their skills, to perform at their highest potential,
and to advance according to their abilities and available opportunities.
