The Federal Women's Program (FWP) is authorized under the provisions of Presidential
Executive Order 11478 to enhance employment and advancement opportunities for
women.
The FWP committee representatives assist the FWP manager in implementing a FWP
at Langley by accomplishing the following duties:
Advise the Federal Women's Program Manager on special equal opportunity
efforts for Women.
Identify and assist in resolving problems to meet the objectives of Presidential
Executive Order 11478 and improve the status of women employed at the center.
Assist in planning and implementing programs and seminars to inform employees
of the need for equal opportunity for women.
Recommend training programs to meet the needs and objectives of employees,
especially women.
Work on special special project subcommittees as appointed by the chairperson.
Inform directorates of Federal Women's Program activities.
